No. Our frames use a clip-on system — you fix the frame with the supplied brackets, then the panel clicks in. Every order includes a printed guide and a link to our install videos. If you can use a cordless drill, you can install these.
Please measure carefully — twice. Every shutter is cut to the exact numbers you give us, so unfortunately we can't remake shutters ordered to incorrect measurements at no cost. That's why we publish a detailed measuring guide, and why you're welcome to email or text us with any measurement question before ordering. We review every order and will contact you if a size looks unusual for the window type.
Inside mount: shutters sit neatly inside the window reveal — measure the inside opening. Outside mount: shutters are fixed to the wall over the frame (common when the reveal is shallow or you want to maximise light) — measure the outside of the frame with a little overhang. The order form asks which one you're doing so we make them the right way.
